Thanks to all who contributed to the growht and the reputation of our museum and our collections for this year 2015!
This year, we received gifts from enthousiasts who offered new mineral species or minerals from unrepresented localities. The year of 2015 was a good year, especially for reference material, however there are a few pieces that ended up on exhibit.
- Numerous samples coming from the Ihosy District in the Horombe Region, in Madagascar, including sapphires, spinels, garnets, etc. (#83355 to 83376), given by Mr. Alexandre Eichler. These minerals are perfect reference samples from the Ihosy locality.
- A sample of ferrinatrite from Coronel Manuel Rodriguez Mine, Mejillones, Chili (#83348), given by Mr. Philippe Font.
- Sulfure on gypsum from the Gorges de l'Envers, Savoie, France (#83336), given by Mr. Angelo Lombino. This specimen is on exhibit in Room G, display case 30.
- 2 series of blue sapphires from France, one from Issoire and the other from Pontgibaud, in Puy-de-Dôme (#83330 et #83331), given by Mr. Alexandre Eichler.
- A pseudomorph of calcite after ikaite from the Taimyr Peninsula, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia (#83326), given by the MIM museum. This specimen is on exhibit in Room K, display case 32.
- Heavy minerals and quartz from the Equator region in the Democratic Republic of Congo (#83324 et #83325), given by Mr. P. M. Ingulu.
- A marcassite from Greece (#83323), given by Mr. D. Nectoux.
- Spinel, garnet and sapphire from Thailand (#83297, #83298, #83299), given by Mr. A. Eichler.
- Two specimens of danburite from Mexico, a boleite, a charoite cab, a moonstone cab, and a facetted fire opal (#83284, 83285, 83300, 83301, 83302, 83303), given by Mr. P. Gentilhomme.
- A Type sample of meerschautite from the Pollone Mine, Pietrasanta, Italy (#83264), given by Mr. Y. Moëlo.
- A specimen of changoite from the Namib Lead Mine, Swakopmund, Namibia (#83261), given by Mr. T. Krassman.

- A sample of graphite from Leon, Castille-Leone, Spain (#83352).
- A sample of trona from Owens Lake, Ollancha, Inyo County, California, USA (#83347). This specimen is on exhibit in Room K, display case 40.
- A sample of spessartite from Navegadora, Doce Valley, Penha do Norte, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil (#83346). This sample is on exhibit in Room O, display case 41.
- Sample of falcondoite from Dobsina, Roznava, Kosice, Slovakia (#83345).
- A sample of hierscherite from Graulay, Hillesheim, Vulkaneifel, Germany (#83344).
- 5 opals from Wegel Tena, Wollo, Ethiopia (#83315 à 83319):
