Gem & Meteorite collections

Paris School of Mines (MINES ParisTech) has a collection of over 1,000 gemstones, 300 of which are on exhibit. Emeralds, amethysts and pink topazes from the French Crown Jewels are also on permanent display inside the museum. In addition, there is a display case dedicated to meteorites, of which there are 300 in the collection. The museum also presents a collection of fascinating artificial minerals.
